The Sorge Funeral Home, built in 2001, located in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, features English Cottage Influence with a modern, elegant interior design. Historic Hollidaysburg, also known as the County seat of Blair, is a quaint community nestled in Central Pennsylvania. On the same site, the new 8,300 square-foot funeral home replaces the first Sorge Funeral Home (1983), the Haller Funeral home Est. 1959, and its predecessor, the Wolfe Funeral Home Est. 1911. The single-level building allows for no steps or elevators throughout the premises, and emulates the timeless history of the community.

The Sorge Funeral home is an independent funeral home, family owned and operated. Lloyd C. Sorge, Supervisor, was the founding funeral director in 1983. Mr. Sorge's staff includes his wife, Melody; their older son, Ashley, a licensed funeral director; their younger son, Aden, a licensed funeral director, who was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, January 2009; and James R. Dodge, office manager. All are actively involved in various local and church related organizations. They work together to serve Hollidaysburg and surrounding communities with dignity and reverence. Serving families of all faiths, they strive to provide professional and personal service to each family who calls upon them in their time of need.
