Anna Janet (Kenawell) Duraso

Anna Janet Duraso, 80 of Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg.

She was born November 15, 1936 in Altoona, daughter of the late Ralph and Anna (Zeek) Kenawell.

Janet married Bruce Duraso Sr., April 9, 1958 in Virginia.  He preceded her in death November 14, 1996 after having shared 38 years of marriage.

Surviving are two daughters:  Rebecca Kelly in California; Sandy A. Ratchford and husband "Bud" of Lakemont; two sons:  Daniel T. and wife Deborah; Bruce Jr. and wife Denise all of Duncansville; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers:  John in St. Louis, MO and James in Altoona.

She was preceded in death by a son, Clinton and a brother Charles.

Janet was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School.  She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg and a former member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Newry.

She was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh sports teams:  the Pirates, Steelers and Penguins.

Friends will be received 6-8 pm Sunday, July 16th at Sorge Funeral Home, Inc. Hollidaysburg where a Vigil Service will be held.  A Funeral Mass will be held 10 am Monday, July 17th at St. Mary Catholic Church by Father Anthony J. Legarski.  Committal in New St. Mary Cemetery.
