Beth Ellen Goetz

Beth Ellen Goetz, 59 of Martinsburg, passed away peacefully at Homewood, Monday, July 31, 2017.

She was born in Altoona, beloved daughter of Phyllis (Gibboney) Hultman and the late Richard W. Goetz of Tyrone and the late loving step-father, William C. Hultman of Hollidaysburg.

Surviving are her mother and a sister, Eve Ruscio and husband, Paul of Scituate, MA.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Walters and a brother-in-law, Daniel Walters.

Beth led a fruitful life.  In her earlier years, she was active in many wonderful ARC programs.  She was a medalist for Special Olympics swimming; an avid bowler; jubilant square dancer and a lover of music.

Beth shared the journey of Independent Living with Leah Lyden.  For a dozen years, these two remarkable women developed skills to live a fulfilling and productive life, with much loving kindness and deep gratitude to each and every one of the caring human beings who helped Beth navigate through her life.

At the request of the family there will be no viewing.  A Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family.  Interment will be at Alto Reste Park.

The family requests that Memorial Contributions be made to the ARC of Blair County, Jackson Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602 and Homewood of Martinsburg, 437 Givler Drive, Martinsburg, PA  16662.
