C. Louise Hampton

C. Louise Hampton, Ohio, formerly of Hollidaysburg, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 21, 2017.

She was born in Altoona. On March 2, 1951, she married Donald H. Hampton in Winchester, Va., and he preceded her in death on May 10, 2009, after sharing 58 years of marriage.

Surviving are two daughters: Gail D. (Ken) Cooke of Vienna, W.Va., and Beth A. (Randy) Worland of Carmel, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by four siblings.

Louise was a 1949 graduate of Altoona High School, and she worked at Altoona Family Christian Bookstore for more than 30 years. She was very active in the Pennsylvania Young Republicans and the Christian Business Women's Fellowship. She was a member of Hollidaysburg Alumni Choir and a very devoted church member.

Friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. memorial service on Monday, November 27, 2017, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the charity of one's choice.
