Carla P. (How) Dosh

Carla P. (How) Dosh, 62, Altoona, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Altoona Center for Nursing Care.

She was born March 17, 1955, in Pasadena, Calif., daughter of the late Holger and Mary (Sell) How.

Surviving are three nieces: Tammy Ruggiero in Virginia, Lisa McFarland of York and Jessie Bollinger in Illinois; and a nephew, Jeffrey Sager of York.

Carla was a 1973 graduate of Altoona Area High School. She was an IT coordinator for Blair County 911, where she worked for 21 years. She was the first licensed female mechanic in Blair County, and the second licensed in Pa.

She enjoyed fishing, crafting pens and woodworking.

Friends will be received from noon to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m., the Reverend Carol Gathagan officiating.
