Charles Mrdjenovich
March 28, 1925 ~ November 14, 2017 (age 92) 92 Years OldCharles Mrdjenovich, 92, Hollidaysburg, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at Van Zandt VA Medical Center.
He was born March 28, 1925, in Wall, son of the late Steve and Stanka (Petrovich) Mrdjenovich. He married Mary G. Rugh in 1953.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years; two sons: Charles P. and wife, Jamie, in Calif. and David J. of Turtle Creek; two grandsons: David and William; and a sister, Melva Ligush of Turtle Creek.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He worked for Sam Rae Car Shops for 44 years as a machinist.
Charles enjoyed gardening and helping others. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Altoona Bowling Hall of Fame and bowled three 300 games. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and he won the PA State Championship.
Friends will be received from 1:00 until the 4:00 p.m. funeral service Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery, East McKeesport.
