Conner T. Hinish

Conner T. Hinish, 5, Hollidaysburg, died Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at his home surrounded by family.  

He was born March 13, 2012, in Altoona.

Surviving are his parents: Jeff and Tami (Mercer) Hinish; his best friend, and older sister, Sydney; grandparents: Joe and Patricia Hinish and Shirley Mercer; uncles and aunts: Joe and Tracy Hinish, Jay and Shari Hinish, Tim and Sally Mercer, Todd and Karla Mercer and Toby and Brandy Mercer; and cousins: Carly, Kate, and Morgan Hinish, Morgan, Lindsey, Kamryn, Devin, Tyler, and Jake Mercer.

He was preceded in death by his older brother, Zackary; his paternal grandmother, Mary Jane Hinish; and his maternal grandfather, Thomas Mercer.

Conner attended Stay and Play Preschool in Hollidaysburg. He enjoyed spending time with other children and always wanted to share his toys. Conner loved playing in the water; getting a bath or shower and swimming, always made him laugh.

He loved listening to Sydney read stories with him and playing with her. He had fun being silly with his dad. Conner enjoyed listening to his mother sing songs to him and laughing with her.

Conner was unbelievably tough and was often told that he had the most beautiful eyelashes ever. Conner loved his family, therapists, friends, teachers and nurses. He especially enjoyed spending time with his nurse Heather, playing and having fun together.

Friends will be received from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 3, 2017, at First United Methodist Church of Hollidaysburg, where funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Conner’s memory to the Zack Hinish Foundation, CPCF, 1330 11th Ave., Altoona, PA 16601 to help children with disabilities in the area or The Children’s Institute, 1405 Shady Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15217.
