David Michael Bowers

David Michael Bowers, 52, Cresson, died Sunday, January 7, 2018.

He was born January 1, 1966,  in Altoona, son of Gerald “Mike” and Barbara (Hall) Bowers.

Surviving are his parents; his former wife, Kristi; his companion, Sheri; a daughter, Paige Bowers; a son, Dustin Mauk; a sister, Nikki Conrad and husband Brad; a special niece, Remi; and a special nephew, Wyatt.

David was a 1983 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School. He was employed as an installer for Johnson Controls. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany.

He was a member of the NRA and was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, boating and four-wheeling.

Friends will be received from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2018, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg. A funeral service, with military honors performed by the Blair County Honor Guard, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home, Pastor Cheryl Gonsman officiating.
