David P. Clapper

David P. Clapper, 85, of Duncansville, formerly of Melbourne, Florida, passed away Friday, November 18th at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Nelson and Mary (Forney) Clapper.

David married Beverly Inlow, November 14, 1986, in Winchester, VA.

Surviving are his wife with whom he shared 30 years of marriage; a daughter, Mary Altmanshofer; a son, David A.; a step-son, Donald Tantuis; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving daughter, Susan K. Emery.

David was a graduate of Altoona High School, class of 1949.   He retired as a machinist from Phillips Electronics;  he formerly worked for the PRR.

David enjoyed helping others; and was a "Mr. Fix-It".

At David's request, there will be no public viewing.

A Memorial Service will be  held 11am, Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Hick's United Methodist Church, Duncansville by Pastors Kathy Colebank and Rich Morris.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Home Nursing Agency, Hospice.
