Garth A. Freet

Garth A. Freet Jr., 37, Altoona, died Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at his residence.

He was born February 8 1980, in Altoona, son of Garth A. Freet and Anita Mateo.

Surviving are his wife of 16 years, Jennifer L. (Bettwy) Freet; two sons: Dylan and Owen, both at home; his parents; his stepmother, Michele; two sisters: Krystal and Kimberly; four brothers: T.J., Joshua, Nathan and Isaiah; and his parents-in-law, James and Elizabeth Bettwy, all of Altoona.

Garth was a 1998 graduate of Altoona Area High School. He was employed as a welder for Altoona Hoist & Crane. He enjoyed working on cars and fishing.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, Pastor Klavens Noel officiating.
