Harry I. Shaneyfelt

Harry I. Shaneyfelt, 86, Altoona, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 at James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center.

He was born December 28, 1931, in Uniontown,  the son of the late Harry and Dora (O’Neil) Shaneyfelt.

On January 22, 1955, he married Betty J. Brannen in Altoona.

Harry is survived by his wife with whom he shared 63 years of marriage; two daughters: Susan E. Mumaugh of Altoona and Lisa K. Dishman and husband, Walt, of Altoona; three sons: Kerry S. and wife, Cathy, of Texas, Dale A. and companion, Chris, of Virginia and Daryl R. of Altoona; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a brother, Elvin, of Altoona.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Hagreaves.

He was a 1949 graduate of Altoona High School. He served in the U.S. Army, in Germany, during the Korean Conflict.

Friends will be received from 10:00 to 12:00 Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., where a service will be held at 12:00, Walter Brannen and Dan Gochnour officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
