Jack B. Spicher
January 11, 1936 ~ December 29, 2017 (age 81) 81 Years OldJack B. Spicher, 81, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at his home.
He was born in Ebensburg, son of the late Charles and Esther (Edwards) Spicher.
Jack married Barbara C. Richards July 31, 1970 in 1st Lutheran Church, Altoona.
Surviving are his wife with whom he shared 47 1/2 years of marriage; a son, Charles E. and wife Wendi of Lock Haven; two grandchildren: Hanna Stover and husband Jordan of Avis and Mitchell E. of Lock Haven.
He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Jack was a graduate of Blairsville High School, class of 1953; and earned an Associate Degree in Accounting from Zeth Business School, Altoona. He retired from Penelec, Johnstown, as an external auditor.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. Jack was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church, Duncansville.
He enjoyed spending time with his family; and working with stained glass.
Friends will be received Friday, January 5, 2018 from 10:00am to the 11:00 am Celebration of Life Service at Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1200-4th Avenue, Duncansville, Rev. Jaime G. Olson and Vicar Kathleen Stump, officiating. Military honors by Blair County Veterans Honor Guard.
