Jack L. Thomas

Jack L. Thomas, 77 of Hollidaysburg, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at UPMC, Altoona.

He was born March 31, 1940 in West Loop, son of the late Andrew and Naomi T. (Marlin) Thomas.

Jack married Mary C. McCoy, December 7, 1958 in Hagerstown, MD.

Surviving are his wife with whom he shared 58 years of marriage; a daughter, Cristi L. Owen and husband, Roger of Hollidaysburg; two sons: Jack P. and Mark A., both of Hollidaysburg; five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; two brothers:  Marlin R. of Canoe Creek and David of Hollidaysburg.  He was preceded in death by a grandson, Seth Thomas.

Jack was self-employed.  Following retirement he drove school bus for Fullington.

He was a member of Portage Lodge No. 220, F&AM; Scottish Rite, Valley of Altoona and Jaffa Shrine.

Jack enjoyed farming and gardening.

Friends will be received Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Sorge Funeral Home, Inc., Hollidaysburg, from 6 until the 7:45pm Masonic Service immediately followed by an 8:00 pm funeral service, Reverend James C. House officiating.

Interment will be in Alto Reste Park.
