James C. McKee, 81 of Altoona, passed away Friday, February 2, at UPMC, Altoona.
He was born in Johnstown, son of the late Theodore and Mary (Hill) McKee. On December 30, 1967 in Munster, Jim married Janet M. Wertz.
Surviving are his wife with whom he shared 50 years of marriage; a daughter, Tina Hendren and husband, Don of Virginia; a son, Randy McKee and wife, Grace of Hollidaysburg; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Gloria Dick of Hollidaysburg; and three brothers: Jerry of Lancaster, Barry in Duncansville, and Jack of Akron, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by three sisters: Irene, Marjory, and Annie; and three brothers: Leo, Robert and Ed.
Jim retired from Berwind White Railway Services after 26 years as a welder.
He enjoyed drawing and painting.
Friends will be received from 4 - 6 pm, Monday, February 5, 2018 at Sorge Funeral Home, Inc., Hollidaysburg immediately followed by a 6 pm funeral service by Pastor Jack A. Styer. Interment in Carson Valley Cemetery.
