John W. Bickle Jr.

John W. Bickle Jr., 44, Hollidaysburg, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at his residence.

He was born July 28, 1972, in Huntingdon, son of the late John W. and Bertha E. (Keller) Bickle. On May 23, 2008, he married Lynn A. Knab.

Surviving are his wife with whom he shared nine years of marriage; two daughters: Cassandra and Laura; a brother, Kevin and wife, Becky, of Huntingdon; three half-sisters; and one stepsister; grandmothers Lena Bickle of Huntingdon and Alberta Foor of Mill Creek.

John was a 1990 graduate of Huntingdon Area High School. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served for four years. He also served in the Army National Guard of Pennsylvania during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He retired from the PA National Guard.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening and traveling.

Friends will be received from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held immediately after at 3:00 p.m., Pastor Herman Burks officiating. Military honors will be provided by Blair County Veterans Honor Guard. Interment will be in Monroe Valley Cemetery, Huntingdon County.
