Matthew Scott Shuey

Matthew Scott Shuey, 33, Fort Pierce, Fla., formerly of Julian, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017, in Florida.

He was born August 24, 1983, in State College, son of Cheryl Ann Locke and the late Robert S. Shuey.

Surviving are a daughter, Katrina; two sons: Ian and KC; his mother and stepfather, Joel Locke, of Hollidaysburg; his grandparents: Louis and Mary Ann Zimmerman of Altoona, and Marlin and Earlene Shuey of Bellefonte; and a sister, Carrie Patterson in California.

Matthew attended Bald Eagle Area High School. He worked in construction doing roofing and remodeling.

He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and spending time with friends.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2017, at Hollidaysburg First United Methodist Church, 801 Allegheny St., where a memorial service will be held at 3pm. Inurnment will be at Williams Cemetery, Julian. Arrangements are by Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg.
