Nancy A. Feathers, 83, Altoona, went home to be with the Lord on Monday evening at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in Lakemont, daughter of the late Lawrence A. and Pauline M. (Blake) Hann. She married Kenneth Feathers Jr. on April 27, 1957, in the Church of God, Hollidaysburg. He preceded her in death on Aug. 21, 2011, after having shared 54 years of marriage.

Surviving are a son, Zane K. Feathers of Altoona; two grandchildren: Zane Jr. and Brandi; four great-grandchildren: Kaden, Mikayla, Gavin and Braxton; a brother, Lawrence A. of Lakemont; and three sisters: a twin, Norma Hann of Lakemont, Judy Madara and Carole Socie, both of Duncansville.

She was preceded in death by two sisters: Dorothy Poust and Sally Reilly; and two brothers: Edgar J. and John.

Nancy was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School, class of 1954. She worked for the Lakemont Laundromat; Blue Ribbon Remodeling and she served as a school crossing guard in Lakemont.

She was a member of Lakemont First Church of God.

Nancy enjoyed going for walks, yard sales and flea markets.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, Pastor Mark Rhodes officiating.
