Nancy Lee Smith

Nancy Lee Smith, 74, Duncansville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in Claysburg, daughter of Roy E. and Jeanette (Hetrick) Smith.

Surviving are a daughter, Tami L. Eppard and husband, Tyler, of Dayton, Va.; a son, Michael J. Reid and wife, Krista, of Altoona; four grandchildren: Kristin Rainey and husband, Joe, Morgan Bocock and husband, Kevin, Gabrielle Brown and Gage Reid; a great-granddaughter, Charlotte Rainey; and her mother, with whom she resided for 45 years.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Nancy was a 1960 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School. She retired as a clerk in the inventory department at Warnaco, Duncansville. She was currently employed at Holiday Pools & Spas, Duncansville.

Nancy was a member of Allegheny Club, Cresson Play House and Mishler Theatre. She enjoyed her family and friends and being the life of the party. She was an avid reader, and she enjoyed crossword puzzles, traveling and watching Jeopardy.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2017, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, the Rev. Elizabeth A. Hess officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
