Nancy L. Stephens

Nancy L. Stephens, 69, Altoona, died Friday, December 15, 2017 at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Health Center.

She was born October 29, 1948, in Cresson, daughter of the late Francis and Lorraine (Snyder) Eckenrode.

She married James M. Stephens June 20, 1977, in Altoona. He preceded her in death October 9, 2016, after sharing 39 years of marriage.

Surviving are a daughter, Michelle A. Gilliland; two sons: James M. Jr. and Michael J., all of Altoona; five grandchildren: Brianne, Jordyn, Michael, Morgan and Donald; a great-granddaughter, Arianna; and a sister, Judy Korman of Glendale.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ernie.

She enjoyed crocheting, bingo, going to flea markets and watching the Disney Channel.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, the Reverend Jaime G. Olson officiating.
