Samuel G. Price Sr.

Samuel G. Price Sr., 77, of Duncansville, passed away Thursday evening, December 1st at his home.

He was born in Washington, DC., son of the late Gaythorne and Sarah (Davis) Price.  

Sam married Virginia L. Gill, October 23, 1985 in Winchester, VA.

Surviving are his wife with whom he shared 31 years of marriage; a daughter, Christine L. Stilwell and husband, Gary, of Duncansville; four sons:  Kimber and companion, Natalie of Hollidaysburg; Jeffrey and wife, Bonnie of Altoona; Samuel G. Jr. and companion Susan of Duncansville, David Godfrey and companion, Megan of Queen; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson; a sister, Priscilla Smith of Shippensburg.

Sam was a self-employed contractor.  He was a United States Air Force Veteran.

He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church, Leamersville Campus.  Sam also belonged to the Carpenter's Local 900; Juniata Lodge No. 282, F&AM; Scottish Rite, Valley of Altoona and a member of Jaffa Shrine Motor Corps.

Sam enjoyed the outdoors; hunting and fishing.

Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Sorge Funeral Home, Inc., Hollidaysburg where a Masonic service will be held at 3:45 pm, immediately followed by a funeral service by Pastor Mark Lingenfelter.  Military Honors by Blair County Veteran's Honor Guard.

Interment will be in Dry Run Cemetery, Duncansville.
