Shawn A. Hayes

Shawn A. Hayes, 36, Altoona, died Saturday, January 20, 2018, at his residence.

He was born May 12, 1981, in Altoona, son of Jacalyn (Vocco) and the late Walter A. Hayes.

Surviving are his mother of Hollidaysburg; his stepmother, Donna Hayes of Cresson; grandmothers: Patricia Hayes of Lakemont and Rose Karabinos of Cresson; a sister, Katrina Hayes of Portage; and two brothers: Randy of Cresson and Justin of Altoona.

Shawn was preceded in death by a brother, Scott Lee in 2016.

Shawn graduated from Penn Cambria High School, and he was employed at iQor in technical support.

He enjoyed playing baseball, fishing and hunting.

Friends will be received from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m.
