William E. Burket

William E. Burket, 80, Altoona, went home to be with the Lord Monday afternoon, December 11, 2017.

He was born December 24, 1936, in Altoona, son of the late William E. and Carolyn (Schildt) Burket. He married B. Jean Irvin in 1957.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years; two daughters: Beth (Joe) Loach and Dana; a son, Curtis; eight grandchildren: Breanna, Carolyn, Benjamin, Colleen, Will, Marissa, Chris and Paul; a great-grandson: George; and a sister, Susan Cardwell-Given.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Richard and David.

William was a 1954 graduate of Altoona High School. He worked as a bridge designer for over 30 years at the PA Department of Transportation, Hollidaysburg.

He was a charter member of Altoona Bible Church, where he served as a song leader and soloist.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends who loved him very much.

At this time, there will be no viewing or funeral service. Private inurnment will be held at Alto-Reste Park Mausoleum.

Arrangements are by Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg.
