William R. "Bill" Maloney

William R. “Bill” Maloney, 54, Palmyra, formerly of Hollidaysburg, died Tuesday at Hershey Medical Center.

He was born in Spangler, son of Carol (Reffner) and the late Roland Maloney.

Surviving are his wife, Sue Ittleson of Palmyra; his mother of Hollidaysburg; a sister, Kristine Walters and husband, Duane, of Roaring Spring; a niece, Taryn; a nephew, Liam; and many friends.

Bill was a 1981 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School, and a 1986 graduate of Edinboro University where he was a NCAA D2 All American in Cross Country. He was employed by the Pa. Department of Corrections as an IT specialist.

He was a member of Range End Men’s Association and he attended church.

Bill enjoyed running, golfing and biking.

Friends will be received from 1 until the 3:30 p.m. funeral service, Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Hollidaysburg High School Athletic Asso. or to the Spring Cove Athletic Dept., where his niece and nephew attend school.
