Alicia M. Herron, 46, Hollidaysburg, went home to be with her Lord after a heroic battle with an extended illness.
She was born in Ashland, KY, daughter of Shirley Cooper and the late Charles Egbert. She married Doug Herron in Altoona on Feb. 4, 2000.
Surviving are her husband, Doug; a daughter: Whitney Fetter and husband, Ian, of Bedford; two sons: Noah and Austin, of Hollidaysburg; a granddaughter Kayleigh; her mother, Shirley Cooper; her grandmother, Pauline Cooper; two sisters: Linette Robinson and husband, Paul, in Illinois and Dana Moss and husband, Ray, in Florida.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Thomas Cooper; a niece, Casey Robinson-Reif; and a sister-in-law,Tammy Burket.
Alicia was a 1991 graduate of Central High School. She had worked as an operating room anesthesia technician for 20 years.
Alicia was a member of Hollidaysburg Elementary PTA and St. Michael's Catholic Church. She loved traveling, spending time with her family and granddaughter, baking and caring for loved ones.
Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, with a funeral service immediately following at 6 p.m., Monsignor Stanley B. Carson presiding.
