Barbara A. Dodson

Barbara A. Dodson, 62, Newry, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017, at UPMC Altoona.

She was born March 11, 1955, in Altoona, daughter of the late George W. and Dolores M. (Hite) Dodson.

Surviving are two sons: Joey and wife, Tina of Boyertown, and John and wife, Tammy of Duncansville; two grandsons; Austin and Colby; two sisters: Kathy Shoop, and husband, Jack of Hollidaysburg and Patti Lou Black and husband, Raymond of Duncansville; six brothers: David E. and wife, Patsy, Dennis W. and wife, Debbie, Gary E. and wife, Kathy, Jerome F. and wife, Robin, all of Roaring Spring, Robert B, and wife, Amy of Delaware and Brian T. and wife, Lisa of Lilly; a special friend, Melvin Dick, a special Aunt Suzi Ickes and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Larry.

She was a manager at Weis Market bakery.

Barbara was a member of St. Patrick Church, Newry.

She enjoyed family and going to bingo.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg. Interment will be at New St. Mary Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
