Blanche D. "Nanny" Weyant, 86, Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Hopewell Township, Bedford County, daughter of the late Theodore and Mary (Bowman) Ritchey. She married Ralph F. Weyant on October 15, 1950, in Cumberland, Md., and he preceded her in death on August 19, 2009, after sharing almost 59 years of marriage.
Surviving are two sons: Lee and wife, Charlotte, of Wernersville, and Randy and wife, Laura, of Indiana; five grandsons: Matthew and wife, Lizzi, Thomas, Lucas and wife, Olivia, Andrew and wife, Jennifer, and Caleb and wife, Ashley; six great-grandchildren: Amalia, Hannah, Paxson, Adeline, Noah and Jacob; two sisters: Ella Jane Imes and Marian Smith; and two sisters-in-law: Carol and Elda.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Edward and William; and a daughter-in-law, Rhonda.
Blanche was a 1950 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She retired from the Hollidaysburg Area School District Foot of Ten Elementary School's cafeteria. She previously had worked for Loungeray and the H.L. Green Department Store in Hollidaysburg.
She was an active member of Grace Bible Church, Hollidaysburg. Blanche enjoyed her family, quilting and baking.
Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 7, 2019, at Grace Bible Church. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the church, Pastor Lou Hileman officiating.
