Carol E. (Wolfe) Crum

Carol E. Crum, 72 of Duncansville, passed away Saturday June 24th at UPMC, Altoona.

She was born August 6, 1944 in Baltimore, MD, daughter of Carl E. and Esther (Zeek) Wolfe.

Carol married John E. Crum, May 7, 1965 in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg.  He preceded her in death January 31, 2009 after having shared 43 years of marriage.

Surviving are a granddaughter, Jamie Lynn; a grandson, John E. III; and two brothers:  Pastor Carl E. Jr. and wife Bonnie of Ashville and Paul E. and wife Coleen of Hollidaysburg.

She was preceded in death by a son, John E. Crum Jr., March 12, 2009.

Carol was a 1962 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School; a 1965 High Honors graduate of Mercy Hospital, Altoona, School of Nursing; she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration and a certificate with Human Services from St. Joseph College, Maine.

She was the assistant manager of Crum's Auto Body Shop; retired from Altoona Hospital ER; and had been employed as Director of Quality Management at Mercy Hospital, Bon Secours and Altoona hospitals, having retired in 2007.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg.

At Carol's request there will be no viewing.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10 am Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg by Father Anthony J. Legarski. Committal in Alto Reste Park, Altoona.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Mary Catholic Church or Masses.
