Charlotte "Vonnie" Quirin, 88, East Freedom, died Wednesday at her residence.
She was born in Hollidaysburg, daughter of the late Addie and Dorothy (Matthews) McCloskey. She married Robert "Nick" Quirin, who preceded her in death in February 2019, after 57 years of marriage.
Surviving are a daughter, Tammy Lynne Quirin in California; a sister, Cora Helsel; two brothers: James and Eddie "Fuzzy" McCloskey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: William "Billy," Edgar Elmo and Dennis Alan McCloskey; and three sisters: Donna Bender, Carolyn Kay and Dorothy Ann.
Vonnie was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Joseph Robeson in Hollidaysburg.
She was a member of St. John's Reformed Church in Hollidaysburg and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Vonnie enjoyed modern western square dancing and round dancing, being a Brownie Troop Leader and camping. She was also an avid animal lover and caregiver.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2019, and from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, immediately followed by a 12 Noon funeral service. Pastor Tom Smith officiating. Interment will be in Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
