Cheryl A. Yarwood, 72, Hollidaysburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday evening at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in Somerset, daughter of the late Raymond and Annabel (Maurer) Ott. She married Curtis W. Yarwood on May 19, 1988 in Winchester, Va.

Surviving are her husband of 29 years; two sons: Keith Ragsdale and wife Sarah and Jeff Ragsdale and wife Tammy; four grandchildren: Heather, Jacob, Michaela and Luke; a sister, Cindy Free; and a niece, Crystal Smith.

Cheryl was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School, class of 1963. She retired as a legal secretary for Atty. Michael Magee at the Law Offices of Evey, Black, Dorezas, Magee, Levine Rosensteel and Mauk, LLP., Hollidaysburg.

Her favorite hobbies included writing, drawing and reading.

She believed in her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, and looked forward to “going home.” Cheryl’s only dying request was that her family, friends and co-workers accepted her savior as their own.

Friends will be received from 2 until the 4 p.m. memorial service Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg.  Pastor Lou Hileman officiating.
