David C. Cassidy, 57, Duncansville, died Tuesday at UPMC Altoona.
He was born in Williamsport, son of the late John and Janet (Humes) Cassidy. He married Lisa Kephart in 1990.
Surviving are his wife of 29 years; a daughter, Chelsea of Tyrone; two sons: Christopher Gearhart in Nevada and Matthew of Altoona; three grandchildren: Bentley, Kinslee and Maverick; and a sister, Nancy Lockard in South Carolina.
David graduated from Altoona Area High School in 1980. He worked at Penelec as a meter reader.
He was a longtime member of New Hope Baptist Church and an active member of the Allegheny Township Fire Department for 39 years and was serving as chief.
Friends will be received from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2019, and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, at New Hope Baptist Church, 276 Maple Hollow Road, Duncansville, where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Doug Pilot officiating.
