Debora J. Garland

Debora J. (Murtiff) Garland, 60, Carson Valley, passed away Sunday at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Melvin and Lois (Servello) Murtiff. She married Kim Garland in 1975, and he preceded her in death in 2003.

Surviving are her boyfriend of 15 years, Richard H. Plowman Sr.; two daughters: Kimberly Fry in Virginia and Danielle Garland of Carson Valley; three grandchildren; two sisters: Melva Jean Brown and Gennine Murtiff, both of Altoona; and two brothers: Joseph Murtiff of State College and Michael Murtiff of Carson Valley.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly in 1982; and a brother, Richard.

Debora enjoyed cooking, camping, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. Interment will be at Carson Valley Cemetery.
