Dorothy M. Wertz

Dorothy M. Wertz, 85, of Hollidaysburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday .

She was born in Indiana County daughter of the late Robert and Marian (Stemmerich) Martin.

Dorothy married Kenneth H. Wertz, January 1961.

Surviving are her husband with whom she shared 57 years of marriage; two daughters:  Genee Knab ( Dave); Lynette Sollenberger ( Earl); a son, Kenneth H. Jr. ( Robin); twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and brothers: Paul and David.

She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy and a step-mother, Grace E. Martin.

Dorothy attended Zeth Business School for one year and formerly worked for the Allegheny Lutheran Home as a nurses aide.  She was a member of West Loop Missionary Church.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, grand and great-grandchildren; visiting; giving children candy.  She was a Major with the American Rescue Workers and played in their band.

Friends will be received 2:00 to 4 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, October 1, 2018 and from 10:00 to 11:00 am Tuesday at West Loop Missionary Church, Hollidaysburg where a Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Pastors Dave Foor, Terry Farr and Kathy Colebank officiating.   Interment will be in Alto Reste Park.
