Earl Robert "Bob" Dodge, 88, Oakland, Md., passed away on Tuesday at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, W.Va.
He was born in Oakland, Md., son of the late Artie and Hazel (Mosser) Dodge.
Surviving are his children: Earl William "Bill" Dodge of Hedgesville, W.Va., James Robert "Jim" Dodge and wife, Lori, of Duncansville, Thomas Ray "Tom" Dodge of Oakland, Md., and Lori Sue (Dodge) Tichnell and husband, Randy, of Oakland, Md.; grandchildren: Amy Spangler and husband, Tony, Brian Dodge and wife, Erin, Sara Froom and husband, Andrew, Mark Dodge, Michael Dodge and wife, Agnes, Daniel Dodge and wife, Heidi, Nicole Vance, Jen Noel and husband, Dave, Nathan Tichnell and wife, Brittney, and Faith Tichnell and fiance, Keith Chapman; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Leona Jones.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Lorene Day (Gnegy) Dodge, on Oct. 27, 2007; a grandson, Matt Vance; a great-grandson, Cody Noel; and a sister, Kathleen Keiper.
Bob was a graduate of Oakland High School and a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He followed in the footsteps of his family and was a third-generation dairy farmer. Bob was a strong, hard-working man with a gentle soul. He enjoyed farming and shared his passion of the land and the cows with his family.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, at the C&S Fredlock Funeral Home P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland, Md. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2019, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Red House, Md., Pastor Michael Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Red House Lutheran Cemetery.
