Edmund S. "Ned" Lee, 57, Altoona, died Thursday at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a brief illness.
He was born in Fort Hood, Texas, son of Asbury W. IV and the late Carrie B. (Barnhart) Lee.
Surviving are his father of Altoona; a son, Dylan J. Lee in Washington; a sister, Tracey A. Peck and husband, David, in Florida; a brother, R. Scott and wife, Chris, of Glenside; and his support family, Pastor John Gray and wife, Tammy.
He was a graduate of Clearfield Area High School and he attended Penn State University. He was a former assistant golf pro at Park Hills Country Club and the Arizona Biltmore Resort in Phoenix. He also worked in reservations for American Airlines in Raleigh, N.C., and then in sales for Computer Learning Network and several car dealerships. He was a former member of Trinity UMC in Clearfield, and he now attended Hope Community Church in Altoona.
He loved golf, watching the Dallas Cowboys, PSU football, and Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey. Ned had a special affection for dogs. He had a magnetic personality and made fast friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, at Hope Community Church, 1520 11th St., Altoona, the Rev. John Gray officiating.
