Eleanor P. (Emery) Schneider, 82, Hollidaysburg, died Monday at her residence.
She was born in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Paul and Helen (Persley) Emery. She married Vince A. Schneider in 1959.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years; two daughters: Monica Showalter and husband, Craig, of Duncansville, and Marsha of Hollidaysburg; three grandchildren: Justin Showalter and wife, Jen, Ethan Showalter and wife, Dana, and Kacie Moschgat and husband, Josh; five great-grandchildren; five sisters-in-law; and two brothers-in-law.
Eleanor graduated from Langley High School in 1956 and then graduated from Duff's with an associate degree in business. She retired from Hollidaysburg Borough as a crossing guard.
She was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg
Eleanor took joy in the simple things in life. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and pets. She was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and was a season ticket holder for more than 50 years.
Visitation will be private. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, Father Alan E. Thomas celebrant. Committal will be at New St. Mary Cemetery.
