Elizabeth C. Fleck, 86, Duncansville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, June 9, 2018.
She was born March 2, 1932, in Duncansville, daughter of the late Herbert and Lovetta (Nicodemus) Hammaker. She married Charles S. Fleck on April 7, 1953, in Hollidaysburg.
Surviving are her husband, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage; three daughters: Cynthia Y. Hammel and Theresa A. Campbell, both of East Freedom, and Allyson D. Oppel and husband, Steven, of Hollidaysburg; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a sister, Judith Gates and husband, Quentin; and two brothers: Bob and wife, Rosella, and Joe and wife, Vicky.
She was preceded in death by a son, Stephen F.
Elizabeth was a 1951 graduate of Hollidaysburg Senior High School. She retired from Puritan Sportswear as a seamstress with 35 years of service. Prior to that, she worked for H.L. Green Department Store, Hollidaysburg. She was an active member of Dry Run Independent Baptist Church and was in charge of the kitchen.
Elizabeth was a blood donor. She enjoyed her family, working at church, baking and cooking.
Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, and from 11:00 to the noon funeral service Friday at Dry Run Independent Baptist Church by Pastor John D. Leatherman. Interment will be in Dry Run Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Dry Run Independent Baptist Church.
