Florence Rose “Honey” Falbo, 89, Altoona, died Monday evening, February 13, 2017,  at Altoona Center for Nursing Care.

She was born October 4, 1927, in Gallitzin, daughter of the late Joseph and Bronislawa (Olszewska) Zajac. On September 3, 1960, she married Thomas F. Falbo in St. Mary Catholic Church, Gallitzin, Father Francis L. Gorney officiating.  Her husband preceded her in death on September 4, 2002, after having shared 42 years of marriage

Surviving are a son, Thomas and wife, LaVonne, of Altoona; two grandchildren: Lindsey Rose Falbo of Baltimore, Md., and Evan Michael Falbo of Ebensburg; and two step-grandchildren: Christ and Max Glasson, both of Altoona.

She was the last surviving sibling in a family of 11 children.

Honey was a 1945 graduate of Greater Gallitzin High School. She was a seamstress and performed alterations for the PA State Police at the Hollidaysburg barracks.

She was a former active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Altoona. She was an avid dancer, and she enjoyed camping, cooking and crocheting.

Friends will be received from 1:00 to 3:00 and 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a vigil service will be held. A prayer service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2017, at the funeral home, Father Daniel Sinisi T.O.R. officiating. Committal will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
