Grace (Hyle) Helsley, 88, Hollidaysburg, died Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at her residence.
She was born March 20, 1931, in Canoe Creek, daughter of the late Frank and Laura (Curry) Hyle. She married Wilbur Helsley in 1952, and he preceded her in death in 2008, after sharing 55 years of marriage.
Surviving are two daughters: Jeannie Manning and husband, Thomas, of Rural Valley, and Fran Ajay and husband, Timothy, of Hollidaysburg; two sons: Barry L. and wife, Daphne, of Emmaus, and Galen B. and wife, Cathy, of Imler; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Ruth Griffin and Lois Swaney.
She was preceded in death by 10 siblings.
She was a homemaker, and a member of Canoe Creek United Methodist Church.
Grace enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling, and going to auctions. She was an avid Penn State, Steelers and Pirates fan.
Friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2019, and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Bishop Rob Patterson officiating. Interment will be at New Canoe Creek Cemetery.
