Jack E. Walker Sr., 83, Duncansville, died Tuesday at his residence.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late John C. and Leah (Dukeman) Walker. He married Janet L. Costlow in 1954.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years; two daughters: Debbie Dobrowolsky (David) of Blue Knob and Susan Feathers (Kerry) in Florida; three sons: Dennis (Rhonda) of Duncansville, Michael (Lorrie) in Ohio, and Jack Jr. (Julie) in Indiana; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Janet Capper of Corry and Sally Hippensteel in Florida.
He was preceded in death by siblings: Mary Walker, Florence Kissell, Robert, John and Charles; and a great-grandson, Bennett.
Jack graduated from Bellwood-Antis High School in 1954. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserves for eight years. He was self-employed as an excavator and drove for Blair Senior Services.
He formerly attended Dry Run Independent Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. He was a former Juniata Township Supervisor.
Jack grew up on and enjoyed tending the Walker Christmas Tree Farm.
Friends will be received from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday. Interment will be at Dry Run Cemetery.
