James E, McDonald II

James E. McDonald II, 40, Lakemont, died Sunday evening, July 2, 2017, at his residence after an extended illness.

He was born February 25, 1977, in Altoona, son of James E. and Catherine V. (Flick) McDonald.

Surviving are his mother with whom he resided; a sister, Catherine Ann Weyant and fiance, Travis, of Lakemont; and two nieces and two nephews: Alicia, Ryan, Serenity and Syrus.

He was preceded in death by his father on February 8, 1990.

James was a 1997 graduate of the special education program at Hollidaysburg High School.

He enjoyed making people laugh, the Special Olympics, basketball, swimming and bowling.

Friends will be received from 1:00 to 4;00 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held immediately after, the Reverend Jamie G. Olson officiating. Interment will be at Carson Valley Cemetery.
