Jane E. Everett

Jane E. Everett, 82, Duncansville, died Sunday, August 27, 2017, at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg.

She was born December 31, 1934, in East Prairie, Mo., daughter of the late Earl and Ruth (Stallings) Brown.

In 1955, married Robert L. Everett in Missouri, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 2007, after having shared 51 years of marriage.

Surviving are three sons: Steve S. and wife, Stephanie, of Hollidaysburg, Darrell D. and wife, Janet, of Duncansville, and Robert S. and wife, Sandy, in California; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Eleanor Lynch in Texas; and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Everett.

She was preceded in death by a son, Terence; and a sister, Dora Lee Adkisson.

Jane was a graduate of East Prairie High School, Mo. She worked as a graphic designer for the Altoona Mirror, and prior to that, she worked at Bell Telephone.

She was a member of Christian Women’s Club and Grace Family Bible Church, Duncansville. She enjoyed knitting, arts, crafts and painting.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2017, at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery, Pastor Ken Snyder officiating. Arrangements are by Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg.
