John E. Stiffler, 73, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at the Hollidaysburg Veteran's Home.
He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Orville and Lela (Walters) Stiffler.
Surviving are three sisters: Doris J. Beck and Karen Jeffers and husband, Zane, all of Duncansville; Beverly A. Weyandt of Claysburg; a brother, Carl F. Sr. of Hollidaysburg and several nieces and nephews.
John was a veteran of the US Army, having served during Vietnam, Battalion C, 2nd Battallion, 17th Artillery and retired from Small Tubes after 36 years service a a machine operator.
He enjoyed NASCAR and Steeler football.
Friends will be received 5-8 pm Wednesday at Sorge Funeral Home, Inc., Hollidaysburg. A Funeral Service will be held 11 am Thursday at the funeral home by Pastor David Way. Military Honors will be by Blair County Veteran's Honor Guard. Interment in Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
