Larry C. "Nookie" Thomas

Larry C. "Nookie" Thomas, 44, Altoona, died Saturday at UPMC Altoona.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Larry C. Martin  and Deveda (Jones) Thomas. He married Paula Jean Mosel on July 23, 2010.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters: Ciara and Jamison Consiglio and Livia Thomas; two sons: David Jackson and Taurean Consiglio; four sisters: Deborah Jones, Elizabeth and Dona Thomas and Karla Thomas-Smith; and a brother, Victor.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Nadine Thomas-Sledge; and a nephew, Darnell Thomas.

Nookie was a graduate of Altoona Area High School, class of 1993. He was a member of the Brotherhood of the Arandale Elks and the 18th St. Community Church. 

He enjoyed basketball and spending time with his kids. 

Larry was able to give the precious gift of life through organ donation.

A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Mother Gethsemane Church, 511 11th St., Altoona.
