Laura McCloskey Obituary
Laura L. McCloskey, 79, Hollidaysburg, passed away Tuesday evening, April 17, 2018, at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring.
She was born July 2, 1938, in Hollidaysburg daughter of the late Earl and Charlotte (McLaurin) Johnson. She married David C. McCloskey on March 19, 1959, in Cumberland, Md.
Surviving are her husband with whom she shared 60 years of marriage; two daughters: Starla F. Jerosky of Duncansville and Karen L. Garner and husband, Larry, of LaJose; a son David A. of Gallitzin; a granddaughter, Victoria Wisor and husband, Andrew.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Peter Jerosky.
Laura was a Hollidaysburg High School graduate, Class of 1956, and she was a homemaker.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and working word puzzles.
At Laura’s request, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, the Reverend Carol Gathagan officiating.
Memorials may be given to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or a charity of your choice.
