Lloyd A. "Squirrel" Forshey Sr., 94, of Hollidaysburg, died Monday at Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg. He was born at home in Pinecroft, the son of the late Guy L. and Rebecca V (Pfahler) Forshey. He married Glenda Sorge in 1946.
Surviving are: his wife of 73 years; two sons: Lloyd A. Jr. and wife, Regina, of Duncansville, and Guy E. and wife, Nancy L., of Hollidaysburg; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Ernest, Leonard and Kenneth.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hollidaysburg. He worked as a parts manager for Ford Motor Company for more than 50 years.
Lloyd was a certified private pilot, and he enjoyed watching sports and spending time with his family.
Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at Sorge Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. where a funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 17, 2019, with the Rev. Dr. John A. Godissart officiating.
Interment will be in Carson Valley Cemetery.
