Marilyn (Miller) Petroff, 91, Hollidaysburg, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019, at her residence.
She was born September 29, 1927, in San Antonio, Texas, daughter of the late Hubert H. and Dorothy E. (Carleton) Miller. She married John Petroff in 1946, and he preceded her in death in 2003.
Surviving are two daughters: Susan P. Rea and husband, Robert, and Nancy L. Tremblay, all of Hollidaysburg; a son, John M. in Texas; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two siblings: Betty Lane in Texas and Carleton Williams of Big Cove Tannery.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Wilma Jean and Pauline; a brother, Hubert; and a daughter-in-law, Fran.
Marilyn was a graduate of Milby High School in Houston, Texas. Later in life, she graduated from the University of Pittsburgh. She retired from the University of Pittsburgh in public relations and was an active member of First United Methodist Church, Hollidaysburg, where she enjoyed quilting club and bible study groups.
Marilyn was an avid reader, writer, and she was an excellent quilter and seamstress.
Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2019, at First UMC, Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at McKeesport & Versailles Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Salvation Army or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
