Mary Teeter Obituary
Mary Lou (Grove) Teeter, 81, Duncansville, died Thursday at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of John L. and Mary M. (Burket) Grove. She married William H. Teeter in 1959 in Duncansville. He preceded her in death in 1991.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Bee Brown in Kansas; a son, David C. and wife, Heidi, of Hollidaysburg; two granddaughters: Kristine Brown and Olivia Teeter; two brothers: John L. Grove of Duncansville and Thomas A. Grove of Pittsburgh; and nieces and nephews.
She was a 1956 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She was a member of Hicks Memorial United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star, Hollidaysburg Chapter 471, where she served as Worthy Matron from 1989 to 1990.
Mary Lou enjoyed reading, the beach and spending time with her family.
An OES memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Public visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m., the Reverend Rich Morris officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park.
