Mary Patricia (Kuhn) White

Mary Patricia White, 88, Hollidaysburg, passed away Saturday evening, November 4, 2017, at her residence.

She was born December 5, 1928, in Milesburg, daughter of the late Irvin P. and Florence (Sliker) Kuhn. She married Edward W. White on Nov. 16, 1951, in Altoona, and he passed away October 16, 1999, after having shared 47 years of marriage.

Surviving are a daughter, Beth A. Eshelman and husband, Stephen, of New Enterprise; a son, Roger A. and wife, Toni, of Altoona; three grandchildren: Edward A. White and companion, Elissa, and Morgan and Makenzie Eshelman; a great-granddaughter, Joann White; two sisters-in-law: Grace Smith and husband, Jerry, of Hampton, Va., and Shirley (Cook) White of Eustis, Fla.

Mary was a 1946 graduate of Altoona High School. She worked for SKF Industries, Altoona, in the bearing testing division.

Mary was a former member of First Evangelical Brethren Church, Altoona, and attended West Loop Missionary Church, Hollidaysburg. She volunteered at the Blair County Convention Center.

At Mary's request, there will be no public viewing. A private service by Pastor Kathy Colebank will be held at the convenience of the family at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg. Interment will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Altoona. Memorials may be given to the Sonshine Joy Class of West Loop Missionary Church.
