Mona Sue Singleton

Mona Sue Singleton, 61, Point of Rocks, Md., formerly of Altoona, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Maryland.

She was born July 26, 1956, in Gary, Ind., daughter of the late Jessie and Ruth (Mundorff) Singleton.

Surviving are a sister, Carol Reynolds and husband, John, of Duncansville; two brothers: Richard and wife, Cathy, in Missouri; and David and wife, Diane, in Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Gary, in 1978.

Mona earned her degree in religious studies, and became a corporate coach. She retired after 28 years of service as a computer project manager with the Federal Government. She also served in the U.S. Coast Guard.

She was a past president of MARC Amateur Radio Club, where she was known as “NY7P.” She enjoyed working in her yard and encouraging people.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. April 14, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church, 276 Maple Hollow Road, Duncansville.  Arrangements are by Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg
