Myrle J. Baum Jr., 76, Blue Knob, died Saturday at UPMC Altoona.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Myrle Sr. and Winifred (Hart) Baum.
Surviving are a daughter, Kelley, in Florida, a son, Brian and wife, Karen, of Duncansville, and their mother, Connie Hilling, in Florida; a son, Jodie and fiancee, Fara, and his mother, Eileen McEldowney, all of Altoona; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Judi Adams of Altoona; and special friend, Polly Heap.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Tom; and a son, Ronnie, who was killed in action in Iraq, May 3, 2004.
Myrle attended Altoona High School. He retired as a truck driver from PennDOT after 40 years of service.
He was a member of the Classic Car Club of Blair County and attended St. Mark's Catholic Church in Altoona.
Myrle was a die-hard Penn State football fan and enjoyed antique cars and hunting.
Friends will be received from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
